aequinoctialis aequinoctialis
a. aequinoctialis 43 mm Gem+ > 100 Euro Gisela Müller › gisela-shells 02.07.2009 Ecuador › Esmeraldas - Quingue On reef in 6m depth, live taken specimen shell. One of the most important cowries in my collection and a spectacular beauty which favorably compares to even the finest pieces published in relevant literature. GEM+ quality combined with large size, inflated body, very mature, gorgeous callous with mauve color hues and clear spots, dark amber golden dorsum with choice and absolutely clear pattern free of blurring which in most of the collected pieces harms the beauty of this elusive and very rare species. A glorious shell suitable only for the connoisseur collector. - aequinoctialis aequinoctialis 01
a. aequinoctialis 45,5 mm Fine 91,45 Euro Randy L. Allamand › rallamand 07.11.2010 Panama › Gobernadora Island Found under rock at low tide. A live taken GIANT shell with several narce blisters & water spots on the dorsum. This shell looks nicer in hand than how it shows in the pictures. A very rare species now that is no longer being found most likely due to habitat pollution. - aequinoctialis aequinoctialis 02
